She has also worked in a doggie day care and as a grooming assistant. She has lived with and loved dogs all of her life and currently lives with her 7-year-old Beagle, George, and his 4-year-old cat, Gracie.

George W. Beagle

George is a handsome beagle who wears many hats at Sit Stay. His most important position is as muse and inspiration for everything we do. He is a reformed naughty puppy. He was the worst puppy that no one, except Betsy, liked until he was a year-and-a-half old. He is now one half of the Delta Society Pet Partners team with Betsy experienced with children, the elderly and the grieving of all ages. He is currently training for obedience trials. He is an expert at dog play and social graces. He has helped many shy, fearful, bullies of all sizes and uncertain dogs come to be very nice and respectful dogs when playing with other dogs. His favorite part of the job is being a demonstration dog for behaviors. He loves to show off his many tricks; just ask him and he will proudly perform.

Little Miss Gracie

Gracie is George's cat. We went to a friend's home to train a litter of kittens and he chose her. They have been inseparable ever since. Gracie is also the cat the convinced Betsy that cats make great pets, too. Gracie has played an important role in training dogs, as well. She has been the first cat that many puppies Betsy has trained have learned to behave around. She is fearless and outgoing. She and Betsy are also a certified Pet Partners team. She is the first cat that Betsy trained. She has a few tricks in her repertoire including sit, stay, sit-pretty. Gracie's goal is to someday know most of the tricks that George knows.
